This hotel is a gem for my family and friends, despite needing maintenance and renovation in the rooms. It is the only place we'll stay, with plans for added amenities, offering a somewhat neglected yet promising experience.
The hotel is the only place my family and friends will stay due to the spacious rooms that are up to standards. However, cleanliness was a slight issue, needing multiple requests for fresh linens and occasional missed maid service. The service was overall very kind, helpful, and friendly, with a notable happy hour and complimentary breakfast. The location within gated housing developments in Dorado offers an impeccable setting, even though the beach is a little rocky. The dining experience, while good, could use some improvement in offering more beverage options. Overall, a great choice with some minor drawbacks.
My stay at the Embassy Suites in San Juan was a mix of great and not-so-great experiences. The rooms were super clean and comfy, offering a great view of the beach and Downtown San Juan. However, there was a discrepancy with my reservation for 3 adults, leading to an unexpected extra charge of $70 per night for an 'extra person'. The service was top-notch, with super kind and accommodating staff, although there were moments of loitering when tables needed cleaning. The location in Dorado, about a 35-minute drive west of SJU, was stunning and perfect for my visit to family nearby, but there was an issue with a parking lock that left me stranded temporarily. The facilities overall were nice and modern.
